David Bowie, the Ziggy Stardust incarnation, a present for a friend.
I was raised on David Bowie, but the first time I ever realized a crush was the first time my little sister and I watched Labyrinth. I remember going to bed that night, heart racing, totally awake. Like, I could never go back. Suddenly my heart could be invaded and overthrown by practically anyone. I was seven or eight.
So maybe I'll do a Bowie series. I hope so.
Listened to a lot of Bowie doing this, natch, but mostly Goldfrapp's "Ride A White Horse" on repeat.
Inked by hand, colored in PS. The first and only mullet I will ever draw.
Labyrinth was what first turned me on to Bowie as well and now I'm full on Bowie whore. This picture is amazing and his expression makes me want to giggle like an infatuated schoolgirl...which I guess I am...damn
Bowie had a bit of a Jame Lee Curtis thing going on with that hairstyle in Labyrinth, but come on, who didn't want to be in Sarah's (was that the girl's name? it's been a while ) place? XD
lol yeah! I loved him in that film... I think I was six or seven years old at the first time I saw the movie ^^
well, I love your art, lady you're awesome, and this pic reminded me my fav' pop star xD

Ok.
I really like this one, neo-kabuki color scheme and excellent likeness of the man who fell to earth, but I think you can go even more glam. I bet you have a Goblin King or a Diamond Dog or even a Thin White Duke in that head of yours just dying to prowl a piece of paper. Great work, but I want more!

And here you come along with a Ziggy Stardust fanart, and I'm just dying from drooling a bit too much. Please go ahead with the Bowie artsies! <3
