Bowie, in his Tommy Newton persona.

I've never seen The Man Who Fell To Earth, so I've been trying to piece together the story from stills, which is like trying to read lips in a foreign language. There's this apparently pivotal scene where Tommy threatens his girlfriend with this bigass revolver (a metaphor, no doubt), shoots his television and then they get it on by the light of the shattered tubes. (Am I right? Anybody seen it want to correct me?)

I want to say it wasn't ferociously arousing. But that would be a lie. Would it be shallow to say I like a man with a big gun?

The text is the title of a great Macy Gray song, about failing to snag her crush, until out of desperation she resorts to violence.

It's amazing what a gun to the head can do
My baby loves me now as hard as he can
My methods may be suspect
But you got to get love however you can

materials: ink and Letraset illustration marker on bristol
music: The Fugees, "Ready Or Not"

Wow...awesome.

What did you use to make this?

Straight edge - my body, my choice; don't give me shit or blow smoke in my face.
Vegetarian - I don't want something dead going in my mouth.
That's some beautiful colouring in the hair.

you caught his thinnnnnnness perfectly, I remeber from a book the way the director described Bo during the filming process, he said it was curious to see arrive early to the stage this so thin british man carrying with him a "valisse" plenty of books. sorry the book is in french and my memory is quite short and lousy.

well, anyway Bowie was definetely that thin and pale back on those days , I like the way you draw his lips, even if you went a tad too far on the lipstick color *kidding* and you are a master of hair coloring my my.

you should see the film... (I found it in the torrents :) Bowie with a hat! :faint: )

now that you are doing pics of his most famous roles, I wonder if you will do a "merry christmas Mr. Lawrence" (nikola tesla???? )pic and how long to see the GK's glory with your markers (on that respect, do you support JxS, or not?
The best one yet. :)
The word "valise" is English for carrying-case. :) That's cute. I love that photo of him camped out in a w.c. stall, his books and jacket and things all spread out, Buster Keaton's biography in his lap. A photographer said that was how you'd usually find Bowie at rest; curled up in the corner of a sofa with a book.

Ha ha, I know, I think I should have just colored his skin. I don't have a pale tone, it's tanned or nothing. Phoo!

Definitely will not be doing one from Mr. Lawrence. That looks endlessly depressing, despite how beautiful he is. Doing Bowie as Tesla sounds like terrific fun, though, since I love both of them. :)

And oh, boy. Too often I daydream that Sarah went home, sat down and wrote the King a letter that began, "Dear Jareth, I very much enjoyed our last game, and invite you to play catch with me again at your earliest convenience..."

I love that photo of him reading Keaton's bio... he is certainly a bibliofile I got some hints of his readings, he has susch a good taste on that domain, aswel as painting too..... honestly... he is the perfect man.... I wanna clone him :crying:

hmmm I was thinking about Bo in Mr Lawrence's begining with those cute clothes so pretty....

Tesla, I must admit I went to watch the film just to see him, mannnnn he knows how to build interest, everytime I thought he was going to appear on screen it was.... not yet. obviously  for his victorian look, though the moustache is kinda disturbing.... I mean: for the first time in life I realized he is as Two years older than my dad.... and I still can have lustful thought for him.... odd odd odd

yeahhhh me too, I love that pairing :unrequited love is the win.... of course not when they do lousy manga of it blerghhhhh
I read once a fanfic ( a very well written one, my standars are high on that respect) with exactly that plot idea (though sarah is a few years older.... steamy? indeed) "they play catch"
I havent seen the movie either... but now I am very curious. I love the texture of his hair, you did a wonderful job!

Also... I like men with big.........................egos... which is almost worse than guns. LOL or maybe they walk hand in hand?

Damn you David Bowie! You are far too lovely for your own good!
