i know you dont know me at all but ive been follow your job for years...
i talked with him [fanson guy] n he credited you and i checked it already, he said he was very sorry, that everything was a misunderstanding, he kinda re-make it n maybe he'll talk with you to explain you [im not sure]
however i told him remake or not it was still your job but he was very nice about it, here's his link if you wanna see... [link]
I haven't got a Facebook account, but I'd really like it if you could tell him that any use of my art without my permission -- a copy or a revision of it -- is totally out of the question and NOT okay. That work, by being up here on DA, is copyright protected, so it also happens to be illegal. Please, please let him know that.
The thing that kills me about some of these people when they do this stuff, they say "a misunderstanding". Well, he never contacted me for permission. There's no misunderstanding there, just a bad decision on his part. Know what I mean?
Thank you again for being my go-between and for letting me know about this stuff. I appreciate it in a huge, huge way.
Never been a big fan of Hanson...I don't dislike them or anything, just neutral. But I do really like the design for this. I always like it when artists limit their colors in a picture to only a few different choices and still manage to make it vibrant and natural looking.
I just commented on another piece of yours (can't remember what it's titled, but it was a profile of a female and you emulated Mucha's style) and then I saw this when I came to your page. Very pleasant surprise since I'm a big Hanson fan, as well. I think this looks great. The red really is a nice complement to the black and white. I really like the way you do cloth and I think the hair turned out nice, too. Good work.
No, it's cool! I use Micron or Zig pens, real fine-line, like.005 point. I'm sure there are a ton of nice drawing pens that don't cost a lot. Just go to a craft store, or they usually have them Office Max and such. They roll nice and smooth.
