It's that time of year again, and I'm feeling the Dia de los Muertos love. Because death should be a party sometimes.
Alice as La Catrina, symbol of opulence, decadence, and representation of Death's indiscriminate hand -- rich or poor, we all go through the same door. And for at least one day of the year, Reggie's eccentric wardrobe is par for the sugar-skull course. He's switched out his sizing card in favor of the Death tarot, which always seems to portend something fun.
Of note: Alice's earrings, Reggie's cufflinks and the skeleton party in the background were all inspired by my sister Kit's totally boss Skelebuddies, little toys which can be Etsy-purchased for a nominal fee. Oh, they're good for almost everything.
I agonized over the background; the original was white with the hatching in habañero green, but it was a little bit of an eye-ache, what with all the colors happening already. I like the look of this, but I keep going back and forth. Conviction: I lacks it!
