Hatter25 challenge prompt: "comfort".

This is a follow-up to "water" and "rescue". It probably doesn't look connected to the other two, but it's just the end of their scary adventure; while skating on a frozen pond, Alice fell through the ice. Reggie rescued her and, with the help of a heroic stag, brought her back to the Theophilus homestead for hot baths, lots of tea and soup, pajamas, and mild snuggling. I can't imagine anything nicer than being read to by a handsome hero, and falling asleep on his heart.

Reggie is wearing monogrammed pajamas, and has fallen asleep in the middle of reading Mark Helprin's amazing A City In Winter, illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, one of my favorite artists. Alice's nightshirt is one of mine. The strawberry square is patterned after one of my favorite mugs. :) I think that's all the random trivia.

I love how you incorporate real things into your art, it's quite fascinating. This is lovely and a wonderfull ending to the story. : )

Thank you. :) I have fun putting stuff I like into drawings. Darby Conley, who draws the comic strip Get Fuzzy, does it all the time with books and movies and music, and I love it.
