I feel lame for using up my other wild card so early, but eh. Reggie, picking blackberries for jam, or perhaps a pie. As
 and I would do every summer of our childhood. Mmm...Trying to color this in that shitty PhotoDeluxe had me so frustrated and desperate for PhotoShop. I'm tired of using this program to color, and I'm tired of using a mouse. It's so amateur. I'm getting a tablet and PS soon, but I just wanted to get this out of the way. Maybe I'll recolor it once I learn how to use the new stuff. It's not terrible. I like the atmosphere, and I'm proud of my line art. Props, as always, to  ; Reggie is her Hatter. |

I think it's because of the soft shading, and the way his expression just seems to be saying "Just... a little farther!" I especially like how you got his sleeve caught on a bramble, too.
I also really like the sort of cut-out effect of the borderish thing of leaves. Like you cut out out and laid it on top of the picture.
The only critique that I have, if you don't mind me saying it, is that his hand, mostly his ring and pinkie fingers look a little... off. I can't really explain why, but I think it's the thick line that you put around the bottom of the ring finger that seems to set it off kilter a bit.
