When I was a kid, I always wanted a monster pal. I had a stuffed dragon named Adeline, but she had an air of dignity (despite the fact that her tongue's been hanging out for twenty-six years) that didn't lend itself to goofy hijinx.
So this is my monster pal. I think he could use a bolder color scheme, but I'm stuck on baby green lately, I don't know. He's a friendly color.
My monster pal enjoys fruits and vegables, comic books (he can't read, but he likes the pictures), jingling keys, knitting, going to museums and floating face-down in the lagoon. He dislikes small rodents, bees, squeaky tile floors and capers. He owns a pet snail named Festus and his hero is Cookie Monster, and if you mess with me, he will kick your ass.
Monster needs a name. Suggestions are welcome!
materials: pencil, paper, PS7 music: Eels, "My Beloved Monster"
I -love- this song by the Eels. It brings forth so many emotions that people have when in relationships, I must listen to it at least twice a day on my iPod.
Who didn't want a monster pal growing up? And I think that the color scheme works quite well, something about the lighter tone leads to imagery of childish whimsy, I feel a more vibrant color would be less innocent. But that's just my opinion.
Great pic!
