You know, it didn't used to bother me, how many people ended up making Cecil white (and blonde) when he has literally no physical descriptors, but after being in the fandom for a couple months now... It's getting real fuckin' old. Like, you have a literally limitless range of options for the guy! And you make him a cracker sandwich.
Sucks because I don't want to shit on anyone's headcanon -- how you see him is how you see him, and after all, the actual Cecil Baldwin is a white guy. But so is the voice of Carlos, who is clearly NOT a white guy! It's just, argh. You feel me.
Hey, I just learned that Joseph Fink & crew are going to be casting a Latino/Hispanic actor to be the voice of Carlos from now on! He wrote about it on his Twitter/Tumblr, and his reasoning was great, not that he needs to justify that. He had been the voice of Carlos for that one episode, and he felt like it wasn't right to keep it up with the role could go to a PoC. He's a mensch, that Fink.
Nope ahahahah. But he has the same kind of face ...sort of.
But that's not the first time this thing happens, i'm starting to think that he's a real stereotype XD The thing is that he wears exactly this sort of clothes everyday and that makes the similarity striking. Because he is long haired and he has a goatee. I can't help, I HAVE to show you a photo. scontent-b-cdg.xx.fbcdn.net/hp… .
Not if you're good at drawing. Also it depends on what kind of tablet, because you might have to focus on the screen instead if what your hand is doing. Oh, and the full version of Sai is $60. Just torrent it.
I actually think yours looks damn perfect! I've seen some really horrible ones but they only look horrible because they look flat. Maybe it was the design you picked or something else, but when you do a tattoo, it looks great!
I had just watched a Janelle Monae video, so I thought it was gender bent Cecil from the thumbnail.
I like how the end of the pattern is cut off by the negative space from his pants. The pattern, though. I keep scrolling back up to stare at. Especially the one that kind of turns into a winding road and the little cloud like bumps. The waves of his hair nicely echo those of the winding shape in the pattern.
Oh, I know you've used it before. Patterns are my favorite things to draw, so I have really enjoyed watching you evolve and vary that pattern. It just really intrigued me that this variation was reminiscent of a landscape.
I don't post much, but I have one drawing with a pattern similar to your wave pattern in my gallery.
I had never thought of Cecil being genderqueer, but now that you mention it, I really like the idea.
