So I broke down and watched Legend, and that same night had a vividly romantic dream about Tim Curry as Darkness. As you do. I can't be the only good girl who has a crush on the devil, can I?

I didn't care for the movie aside from Darkness, and was especially put off by the character Lily, so I wondered who would be appropriate to pair with His Evilness. Saint Agape (of Barbucci & Canepa's Sky Doll) just kind of inserted herself, and she's perfect. She's an embodiment of goodness and sacrifice, of sensuality and a pure heart -- and they still have things in common. If Darkness is going to fall in love with someone, I want it to cripple him. I want him to be completely defeated by her. I want him to give in. That's what good love does to you.

I would almost guarantee that these two have never been drawn on the same paper together. I also almost guarantee (less confidently) that this is the last time I'll be drawing Darkness. But I said that about Bowie, so. You never know.

Yeah, never actually finished that movie. Tried watching it last year, but hated it. Except for the devil, he was cool, but otherwise the movie had no real entertainment value for me. Then again, I was watching Predator and Aliens when I was four so I may be biased.
Anyways, great job!

I refuse to watch that movie, because I know I'll become obsessed with Darkness and I'm Catholic, I can't love the Devil :hmm: That's the same reason I can never read Paradise Lost. :B

(But I already have a tiny, itty bitty crush on him, simply because it's Tim Curry. I am, as a straight female, obligated to love him.)

On the picture: It's perfect. I love how tiny she is compared to him (I like big men and little women. It is one of my many romantic weaknesses.).
I also like how his horns sort of surround her, like only she can enter his personal bubble. Or like his presence is kind of sheltering her, protecting her, for lack of a better word.

Also, her hair and the shading on him is just gorgeous. :love:

Oh honey, you can love this devil. He is not THE devil. The Devil is rape, slaughter, starving babies, companies that let thousands die of cancer so they can make money off pharmaceuticals. Tim Curry's devil is charming and not all bad. C:
