The reason this looks so similar to my last piece is that I was trying to draw this and the sketch got too detailed. I'm not great at planning stuff out.

So my sister Kit got me into Supernatural, and she asked for some Castiel fan art. Whatever Kitter wants, Kitter gets (from me, anyway). I thought I would do Kit giving Castiel a piece of cake, because that is just the kind of person she is. If some random angel showed up at her door portending doom, she'd be like, "Come on in! Would you like some juice? Yeah yeah, tell me about Armageddon in a minute. Try these cookies I made."

And I only just now remembered -- I think Kit might hate yellow cake with chocolate frosting. She would make him something crazy like strawberry-lemon cake with lime frosting. Or chocolate peanut butter pie. Or she might save the pie for Sam n' Dean.

I always thought that Castiel would benefit greatly from something as simple as sitting and holding a new born baby or being given a piece of cake by a kind stranger.

I was just thinking about how Castiel would be with a baby last night! I just started reading What To Expect When You're Expecting, (I'm not expecting YET), and all the baby talk had me wondering how Team Free Will would handle a baby. Well, we kind of saw, with the shapeshifter baby, which was pretty adorable. I don't think Castiel was in the episode, though...

He just always seems so tense, especially during the times he seemed to be how do I say...Losing his religion? I think he could do with some escapism therapy with babies and sweet stuff.

Oh, YAY. This is utterly delightful. The way they're looking at each other! <3 Kit is clearly thinking "get some sweets into you, you poor dear thing" and Cas is staring at her like she's the strangest most wonderful thing he's ever seen - "you're really giving this to me?" SWEETHEARTS.

Also, I want to visit the Castiel Cake Place. I will bring my winning smile. :D

It feels bizarre and a little bit wrong to say that I ship Castiel and my sister, but I kind of do. She would just do him a lot of good. And yes: come to the Cake Place! We give backrubs.
